Back Again

Dear Bloggers,

I’ve missed you! It’s been a long few weeks. This hiatus was not planned, yet needed. I won’t bore you with the details, but I will say it was interesting.

I won’t make excuses. My blog was put on the back burner, even when I promised I wouldn’t let it get to that point. Oh well, we’re all human right?

I want to share with you all some insight about change. I went through a huge one. A very unexpected one. And I was very bitter about it, at first. It wasn’t at all what I wanted or thought I needed nor was it on the best of terms. However, after accepting it (I had no choice) I have come to realize it was EXACTLY what I needed. And now, I’m in love. I’m happier. I am more relaxed. Not near as much stress. And my kids are much better off.

My whole point to this blog is that even though we may think we are where we need to be, that’s not always true. The best changes for us come at the most unexpected and even most inconvenient times. Let go, and let God. If I had fought this change, I’d be in a very bad spot. But instead, I embraced it. And now I’m happiest I’ve been in years.

Until next time (yes there will be more ;))

Selling ice to an Eskimo

Dear Bloggers,

I hope this Wednesday evening finds you well! Today was a pretty good day in the business front!

Tonight I would like to share with you something that happened over my weekend. It started with insane family drama, but I won’t get into that. It led up to my sister and brother in law sitting me down and asking me, is what I’m doing now (my Younique business) what makes me happy? Of course it is. And they said good, run with it. And then my sister looked at me and said “J’aimée, you could sell ice to the Eskimos, you’re so good at what you do”. You guys have no idea just how much that meant to me.

I get a lot of crap from people, the ones closest to me, for working this business every day. It seems like a joke to them. And I don’t mean my sister, she has always been supportive. But to hear that, gave me an incredible motivational boost. Not just for me, but for my team. It really made me step back and think, I CAN do this and I WILL do this. No more second guessing myself. No more putting it on the back burner when things aren’t going as planned.

My whole point to this post, is that no matter what you’re doing, if you love it, you’re going to be good at it. Passion and skill come together, and you have something going for you. People are watching, and they do notice. It just takes time and consistency for them and you to notice it.

Dear Bloggers,
I hope this Tuesday evening finds you well. It’s that time again! Let’s jump right into it, shall we?
My two little bits of sharing today are going to be:
Self worth. What do I mean? We live in a world where getting praise from others is something we strive for. How good does it feel when someone gives you kudos for a job well done or compliments your look. Pretty awesome, right? But then when someone goes into very specific detail about how AMAZING you are, it makes your whole day. My first tip to you is, don’t wait for someone else to say it. Say it to yourself. It may sound silly, but look in the mirror every morning and give yourself the props you deserve. You’re GOING to get that job. You look HAWT. I have what it takes. My day is my own. And so is my life.
Haters. And not just the haters; the doubters too. We all will encounter these people at some point in our lives. Not if, but when. And I’m going to be brief on this, Bc haters and doubters don’t deserve my time, or yours. Remember, when someone is hating on you, just feel bad that they missed out on knowing an incredible guy or girl, as well as a pretty bad ass friendship.
You’re worth more than the opinion of someone trying to bring you down. But you also owe it to your fellow man not to be that person either. ✌🏼️

You Find Out Who Your Friends Are

Dear Bloggers,

I hope this Thursday evening finds you well! Tomorrow is FRIDAY! 🙌🏼 I hope you all have awesome plans made, whether it’s a night on the town, a cozy night in, or makin that paper at work! I’ll be doing all three!

Tonight, I want to take a moment to give a HUGE shout out to my tribe! (Your vibe attracts your tribe). These women are my rock. My back bone. The ying to my yang. The Mac to my cheese. And the majority of the time, they’re what keeps me going every day.

Want to know why they’re “sooooooo great”? Because they have my back, through the good and bad, the big and little, and the weak and strong. I have NEVER once questioned if I could call them when I needed ANYTHING. Not that I would, but if I ever needed $1000, there’s no question they’d find a way to get it to me.

Your friends are the family you choose, and that ain’t no lie! I couldn’t be more blessed and I couldn’t ask for a better group of ladies to be in my life. There isn’t a thing they don’t know about me, and they love me anyway.

Thank you ladies for being you and loving me as I am.

I hope the people reading this are lucky enough to relate to what I am saying now. But if not, I’d love to be that person for you. The greatest thing about friendships is, there will ALWAYS be room for more!

Everyone deserves that kind of love and admiration in their life!

So this blog really isn’t about a certain pressing issue or advice, just something I wanted to share with you all! 😘

I hope you all have WONDERFUL Thursday night!

Given a mile, take an inch…

Dear Bloggers,

I hope this Wednesday evening finds you well! Today was a MUCH better day, even though I dropped a full fountain Dr. Pepper on the ground as soon as I got out of my truck at work this morning! That was the universe’s way of saying no to me. 😉

Tonight I wanted to talk a little bit about something I have been noticing a lot, especially with the younger generations on social media. And it’s something I feel really needs to be nipped in the butt pretty quick and in a hurry.

I have begun to notice a lot of the youth finding, somehow and some way, a sense of entitlement. And I am rather discouraged.

For example, I have seen examples of youth being given something amazing, like a cell phone, but it isn’t the model they wanted. Instead of being thankful they even got a cell phone, they become belligerent and hurtful and the person giving them the gift because “it is not good enough”.

I fear that my children will grow up in a society, regardless of what I teach them, that will influence them more than I can. Maybe that isn’t a logical fear if my parenting is as good as it should be.

My point is, this generation and the ones after it need to be taught that when you’re given a mile, take an inch. Let’s teach them to take what they need, and give what they want. That’s the only way this world has any chance of survival.

This is kind of a random post tonight, but I feel like it’s necessary.

Have a wonderful evening!
